Dash design / finish ideas. Help (be careful what I ask for)

Would love feedback on Dash design / color. Have a 1974 that had foam dash facing was let's say marginal at it's best. I have removed it, but could rebuild it, but I'd prefer not too as I like the clean look of the aluminum. Was thinking about backdating it but not 100% sure on it. The portion around the gauges and down to the aluminum trim will be either painted black or covered with black vinyl or alcantara. Attached are a couple of pictures with the mock up of straight aluminum. & yes I know that I will have to cut the sides of the glove box door to accommodate the aluminum trim. Also the car is not stock and not designed to be as you will see by the outside picture of the car. It's a fun street, track, have fun car. It will have RS carpet and finish interior on the inside. It will also have dark bronze Campagnola wheels on it too.

Couple of questions for feedback.
1. Back date dash with aluminum with black basket weave and install stock knee pad?
2. Back date dash with aluminum with some sort of green plaid and install stock knee pad?
3. Install aluminum (like in the mock up photo) with no basket weave?
4. Powder coat aluminum satin black with no basket weave? (same as mock up but aluminum would be black.

Any feedback would be great and thank you in advance. I'm partial to powder coating the aluminum black.

Personally, I like 1, 3, and 4. The green plaid could look good, but maybe too different from the rest of the interior? Not sure.

I think what is interesting is the idea of simply black painting or powder coating the aluminum trim. I don't think I have seen anyone do it before and it could look really nice in a semi-gloss black.

Thanks Rodney! Really appreciate it, I was thinking the same thing about the black aluminum... I don't think I've seen it that way either, probably overkill but would like to have feel finished.
