Help needed. How do a properly test this light?

How do I test this light with either 12v power or multi-meter? I do not have the attaching wiring harness. The bulbs are new. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I do not have the harness in the car to plug it in. This light is for a later car and I am trying to adapt it to what was a seat belt light only. The original light has two wires only going to the seat belt light and that wiring from the seat belts to the relay is missing, so I have not been able to test the original light either. Thanks for the replies.

Using this schematic might help

- bus 15 = 12V (when key on ACC I believe)
- 31 = GND for the circuit
- the parking break switch is actually connecting 'HB' to ground
- the seat belt relay connects L to ground for some time when the seat belt is not in
- the pin 30 is an always on power I believe
- don't know where pin K takes it input from

Thanks FrankM. I think pin K comes from the "stop light" switch since the light has three options-seat belt, parking brake and brake light. I appreciate that you took the time to reply and help. Learning fast how to read a flow diagram.
