clutch adjustment on 1975 911

My friend drives a 1975 911 that has had the 2.7 replaced with a 3.0.

The clutch grabs less than one inch from the floor, so I offered to have a look at it and possibly make an adjustment since I've adjusted my SC on a couple of occasions.

The cable adjustment is completely different than what's on my SC. There is no omega spring, which surprised me.

To those of you that are familiar with that type of adjustment, can you tell me how to go about measuring what needs to be measured. It seems the only adjustment is right at the end of the cable.

Thx
hughc

Hughc,

Does it look like this? This is what I have in my 1975:

There are 2 nuts, both 10mm. Loosen the first jam nut and tighten the second nut to bring the clutch pedal farther from the floor. When happy with the pedal position and still have some pedal movement before the clutch begins to disengage, tighten the first jam nut so the adjustment does not move.

Thank you Zaz and Rex. That's the type of information I was looking for.

Yeah, they had to switch to the strange angled cable arrangement to clear the redesigned heat exchangers.
