Additional Fuse box relay system

I am planning on adding a few additional circuits to my 80 SC [six ckts] – not by tapping into the existing wiring harness – but by adding a new auxiliary wiring harness – complete with added circuit breaker – Aux fuse box – Aux relay panel aux terminal blocks.

In assembling all these new components – quickly realize it requires a significant chunk of real-estate in the frunk.

Looking for other Pelicans who have built similar systems and what their design – lessons learned. My plan B – is to use sheet of ABS plastic 1/8” diameter – approx. 12 x 12 [will be sized down] heat the ABS onto a L-shaped config – where short section of the L is my attachment point to the inner fender – just aft of existing OEM fuse box – then the components will be affixed to the horizontal portion

Thanks for any assistance

kgl

I put mine just under the battery tray near the floor of the frunk. But not as fancy as yours, more power and ground feeds used for non fused sources..but there are fused options that could fit there too

I created something similar to supply power to more powerful headlights on my SC. Similar to your plan, I created a base to attached blade fuses and relays - yes quite large. I positioned this as far forward in the trunk inside the bumper, in front of where the fuel tank and spare tire is positioned. I secured this fuse/relay base around the jack mounting points and other nearby attachments nearby using zip ties (I believe). The whole thing is out of sight, protected and covered by the carpet in the front trunk. Good luck!
