3.2 Carrera voltage regulator swap - need help

Hi!

Swapping out a voltage regulator on a 3.2 Carrera. The old regulator only has 1 blue wire. New regulator (Valeo) has a blue and a yellow. There are 2 tabs on the alternator that would make sense for those wires to attach to. Should I attach both even though the old regulator only had 1?

This is the back of the original alternator from my 1986 3.2, showing it's regulator that had 2 wires. I don't know when or why the voltage regulators changed, but I would think you should connect both on the new one.

Thanks - connected both wires and working fine. Not sure why the previous regulator only had 1 wire (blue for the alternator light) and no yellow (B+). Looking at the back of it, it’s not like it was removed - there was never a wire soldered to the tab.
