pics of 16" Fuchs on early 911s

Does anyone have any pictures of 16X6X7 Fuchs with polished or annodized paddles and rims on a narrow-bodied 911?

Thanks

Thanks guys. Narrow bodies rule. Ask Ruf, he is cutting the flares out of his starter tubs these days.

Paul,
Every time I see that car I get a little bit envious. It's a real kick ass car. I can't wait to see it.

That car in gorgeous....is that color Tangerine? I am really surprised what monitors due to some colors. I have seen several BMW's on the 'net that are Imola Red and they don't look like Imola Red in real life.
Is your car recently painted or just very well maintained?

Sorry - this has got annoying shadows on the wheels, but they are 6x16" at both ends with 205/50R16s. 205/55R16s would have fit fine.

I don't know how they would fit on 7x16s - it might be marginal.

Paul,

I was told just yesterday that i couldn't fit 16x7's on a narrow body car. Maybe thats assuming im would be using 225's. Was told Could only fit 16x6's with 205's. Have you had to midify the inner fennder lips any? Also the car looks lowered, is it, or is that the illusion the larger wheels give?

thanks

Paul,
What do you have for a motor in there? Is it the stock power plant or have you juiced it up some?

Mark,
I was getting my car put back together from paint when the Excellence article came out on you and your dad. Funny thing, my car used to be the color of yours. It is juiced up a little, i ditched the 2.2 and installed a dual plug 3.5 with MFI.

To answer Reeses' question; I did roll the fender lips when i lowered it to the current height, but i ran these wheels/tires before that and it was fine. I can turn the steering wheel lock to lock without any rub. Like someone said, the old cars aren't all the same and you may have to just experiment a little. I honestly think that i could get away with a 225/50 in the back but i would need a little neg camber.

Paul

Holy crap. All this time, I looked at your car (a number of times - my car asked me to because it wants to be signal orange not black) and I never read or looked closely enough to figure out you had 205s all around. I thought you had flares at the back. So much power, so little tyre...

I should have got 4x7" and used them for the 205s I have - they don't look quite "right" on a 6" wheel, IMO. I think there is enough room to account for the slightly changed offset from 6"to 7" for them to fit, even without rolling the arches. It would be tight though - interesting to see you say yours did fit without rolling the arches??

My car, with unrolled arches and approx 1.5 deg camber, would NEVER fit the 225/50s on the pair of 16x7s I do have lying around.

6 and 7's 205 55 16 on two of my previous cars

1970 911 and 75 911

had to roll rear fenders on both but fills out the wheel wells nicely
