Turbo Performance Center in MD?

Does anyone have direct knowledge of these guys and how they do business? My buddy wants to beef up his 3.4L 996 and they just came out with a intercooled supercharger that put out 375 at the wheels, 431 at the crank.

Paul

Mike Leviatas is the owner of Turbo Performance Center between Balto and DC. I've seen several of his late model supercharged cars (Boxster, 90 C4, a couple 993's, 1 996). They are well engineered and look like a factory install. The C4 is a track only car and has had no problems in 2 years.
Mike's a straight up guy and will work with you. Go for it.

Two impressions I have about this shop.

First, there was an article in Excellence (Feb 2000?) describing their work. Of interest to me was a 3.2 SC setup to be introduced w/o an intercooler and then with an intercooler. I called and was told it would be available in a few weeks as they were working on finishing touches with a couple of "beta" system customers. I then called a few months later and was told that there never was a 3.2 system and never would be. ???????????? I mentioned the article and my call and he said he knew nothing about either. I called a year later a got the same response. Just struck me as odd.

If you do a search on here you will find that initial manifold castings were a bit on the rough side.

Other than that the gentlemen were always very nice on the phone and the Excellence article was complimentary of their work.
