Help identifying this nut

This was missing on one side of my sunroof. The other side is in tact (used for pictures). I see that it’s part of the cable assembly, but it’s $225 and only need the nut (the bolt and washer were sitting in the sunroof track). Can this be bought individually? If so, does anyone have the part number? Fwiw, I did check inside to see if it was back in the roof but to no avail.

That is for height adjustment and was never sold as a spare part, only comes with a cable assy. I am sure have some spares laying around but i am out of town till the 9th or 10th. I am sure someone here has an old cable laying around but if not i will check back in when we get back from the 24 hr classic.

For what its worth i know you said you looked and did not find it but the only way it would truly be missing is if it dropped inside the car from the sunroof opening (unlikely) as you would have noticed it by now, or it escaped through the water drain hole. I am not sure if it will fit through the hole but maybe run a wire back up the drain hole from the engine bay side and see if maybe its hiding in there. My bet is unless it escaped through the drain it is in the roof somewhere.

I have a few also. The notches are what keeps the adjustment at a proper height, so a regular nut won't do.

Really?

Just wanted to give a huge thanks to John! He sent me the part and I was able to put the sunroof right back together! Truly thankful for the members of this forum!
