made a boo boo when i pulled my steering wheel

I pulled my steering wheel the other day to make it easier to pull my gauges to change the bulbs to LED's. it is a momo three spoke. I forgot to take off the neg. on the battery. put everything together, and my horn doesn't work. I took the wheel off again, to make sure the spade connector was on and tight. put it back together and no go. what did I mess up??? did I short the horn relay? etc... solutions.

First step, keep calm. Its not possible to do anything worse than sound the horn and scare yourself silly when working on the steering wheel. The steering wheel hub boss button is the earth return path that operates the relay. Does the horn relay click when you operate the horn? Double check the way you have assembled the boss, make sure the boss button is wired to the slipper contact and that the wire is connected to the slipper ring on the steering assembly. The relay and horn should operate if you earth the slipper ring.
