SC with Carrera engine cases

the last of the SC line up used the newer cases.
anyone know if this is a beneficial "upgrade"?
if so, in what fashion?
oiling, head studs, anything? other than the lack of a sump plate.

thx in advance

It should also have mounting provisions for the flywheel reference sensors, allowing the retrofit of Motronic injection.

good point Cory M.
apparently the ims is secured in a more modern fashion, as well.
very tail end of production - i wonder how many cars were equipped with the case upgrade?

March '83 was when they started using the newer cases - according to my research. dunno what that means number-wise. mine did not have oil fed tensioners. still doesn't. thx Fred
