SC with Carrera engine cases
the last of the SC line up used the newer cases.
anyone know if this is a beneficial "upgrade"? if so, in what fashion? oiling, head studs, anything? other than the lack of a sump plate. thx in advance |

It should also have mounting provisions for the flywheel reference sensors, allowing the retrofit of Motronic injection.

good point Cory M.
apparently the ims is secured in a more modern fashion, as well. very tail end of production - i wonder how many cars were equipped with the case upgrade? |

March '83 was when they started using the newer cases - according to my research. dunno what that means number-wise. mine did not have oil fed tensioners. still doesn't. thx Fred
