Does anyone know the specs for the OEM thickness of brake pads and rotors, front and rear, for a 911 SC

New thickness would be 20mm front and rear, replacement thickness is 18.5mm front and 18mm rear per Pelican. Sorry, don't know about the pads.

New pads should be 10mm. Replace at 2mm.

![]() In theory, you can let them wear down until there is only a thin film of brake pad material left, but not only do you risk going too far and damaging the rotors, you're also allowing alot more heat to go into the calipers during braking (as the pad material acts as an insulator) and that can have unwanted consequences like boiling your brake fluid and your pedal goes to the floor at the wrong moment. If you track the car replace pads before they are 50% worn for the reasons IROC mentioned. For street use take em down till you feel guilty.
