No power to DME relay

I have no power on pin30 of my DME relay connector. Wiring diagrams show an unfused, un-interrupted red wire directly to battery. At the battery, I have no continuity between red wires and DME relay.
My question is: how is the red wire routed? From the battery it goes along the wheel well, but then disappears behind a nest of connectors zip tied together. I hesitate to take all that apart, so wonder what the routing is so I can look for a break.

Powered by the interior light fuse. Do the dome lights work? Assuming it'ws a 84-89 carrera.

Edit, sorry, wrong info, space case today.

Do you have the factory alarm system ? It interrupts power to the DME

Yes it has a bypassed factory alarm, but the alarm goes to pin 86 black switched power (that's working) pin 30 is red, hot all the time, according to the wiring diagram it's direct to the battery unfused.

Did you check the fuse?

The interior light fuse is 5A according to my wiring diagram, the wire is 4mm, so that can't be connected. I did go over the entire fusebox for continuity to PIN30, and nothing, so it's most likely unfused. I can trace the red wires from the battery along the wheel well and through the bulkhead. I just don't know if there is a connector in there somewhere. I have inspected the wires from the DME relay and they are unmolested.

I will probably run a new 10ga from the battery to pin 30 on the DME relay, but I would like to find out where the original wire is broken.
