location of the seat belt warning relay

My 87 911 Cab seat belt warning system is not working. There are no light (on) and no seat belt warning buzzer sound. Does anyone know the location of this relay (911-618-102-00) and a test procedure once located?

Thanks

Mine’s at the landfill...
Yours are behind the gas/oil gauges.

If you find the relay is missing (which it probably is) you can jump the pins (do a search for it) to make the seatbelt light work with no buzzer. This was the factory default for the euro models.

This is what I did and then found it also did not work because the wire that goes to the seatbelt latch was broken.

As much as I like all the system of my car work as designed, or often way better than "as designed", (the AC system) I pulled my relay long ago. I never go anywhere without my seatbelt on. And I don't let my passengers ride unbelted.

I have a three car garage and if I am moving the 911 from it's normal parking spot to the work bay next to my tools and work bench, I don't bother to buckle up to move around my car on my own driveway from one bay to the other. I then hop back in the car that was moved and park it in the space where my 911 was just to keep in in the shade.

But yea, take out the speedometer or oil pressure & oil temp gauge to get to the relay.

Funny thing. When I bought my Targa - now 19 years ago - there was a relay in the glove compartment. I came on Pelican to ask what it was for. You guessed it - seat belt buzzer. I've still got it somewhere - never did try to install it to check it out.
