Engine Wiring Harness--Help!
Hello,
I'm dropping the engine on my '77 911S and I'm trying to figure out how to disconnect the wiring harness to the engine. I was going to try to loop all the wires through but I keep coming up with more and more and even with labelling the wire this thing is going to be spaghetti before I know it. Is there a connector somewhere that I can undo and run through the trans tunnel? Thanks

no. the engine loom disconnects at the left rear corner. pull off the 14 pin connector, the voltage regulator plug, the CD unit plug, and the small inline plug. if you pull the engine and trans together, then that's all, other than the battery cable off the starter. if you pull the engine only, disconnect the backup light switch wiring on the nose of the trans, and the rest of the starter wiring also. the loom comes out attached to the engine.
