Fuel Pump Relocation to Front - What's the best power source

I'm going to be doing some maintenance next week, including cleaning or replacing the tank fuel screen. I thought this might be a good time to relocate the fuel pump to the front. This is on my '74 911

I was wondering, what is the best/factory way to wire the pump in it's new location?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Vern

On my 1973 cis I took the original red/green fuel pump wire off the front fuse block and ran a new pair of wires with an in-line fuse added through one of the rubber grommets in the trunk to the front cross member. I connected the ground wire to the battery ground strap.

Thanks,

I'll look for that red/green wire.

Now that I think about it, I think the later cars have an additional spot on the fuse block (missing the 3-part fuse block) that was for a/c and fuel pump. I remember seeing fuel pump listed on the fuse box cover. My '74 fuse box is a little different than your '73 but it is still missing a section that I would need to get if I want to do it that way. I'm sure the wire colors are the same (red/green).

Thanks again.......Vern
