How to understand layers of paint
Hi all,
I was doing some repairs to my deck lid (removing inappropriate carrera spoiler-for sale if anyone wants) and I was curious about the layers of paint/primer on my car. The PO bought it white from the first owner who had the factory brown painted white. What I see on the metal is: A black coating A white coating A brown coating A light gray coating A brown coating A white coating I know the bright white is the new paint but what’s the white on the black and the gray in between the browns. Ultimately it’s no big deal to me, I was just curious. ![]() |
