Front panel position – reference pictures needed
Hey guys,
I’m currently restoring a '73 911t. I got the car back from the body shop but have problems adjusting the shut lines on the front. The problem is that the hood sits to high and too far forward. The fenders have been adjusted as high as possible. I strongly suspect that the front panel has been welded in the wrong position (it has been replaced due to rust). I was hoping for some example pictures to confirm this. Here is how it looks on my car. Thanks! |

Thank you Harry, that does help a lot!
![]() In the white circle you can clearly see that your panel sits considerably lower than mine. The part in the green circle also seems to have been butchered in my car ![]() I will have to cut everything out and hope to be able to reuse the panel. I might ask for a couple or pictures before than
