Cool Audio of Two Oh's 69T...

OK, the audio of Two Oh's 69T 'gettin jiggy wid it' can be accessed here, via FTP:-

host: bender.annenberg.edu
user: pelican
password: 911rules

Just look in the 'pelican' directory and the file is 'por.wav'

OR, browse to http://bender.annenberg.edu/pelican/ and click on the appropriate filename.

69 T 2.4 webers, sport muffler. Three short recordings. First recording was cut short. Second, partial throttle 6000 rpm, third, tire spinning first gear.

Enjoy

(P.S: A BIG thanks to NOSTATIC for hosting these clips!!!)

Hey Jack Olsen whaca think?

Kind of a crude recording, but it's something, eh?

Anyway I was thinking about your exhaust today.

I think a nice set up for your car would be some RSR headers, no heat exchangers. I saw a set on ebay recently. I think the price was $1000.00- or $1400.00. Can't remember. Well, RSR headers with 2-2 1/4 dia collectors entering a Performace Products [Dansk?] dual in dual out muffler. Wayne might have this muffler. $399.00. I've seen this set up on a silver '73 T with a 3.2 stock engine. Sounded pretty good.

My personal opinion is, this is probably the best set up for your car. Performance wise that is. Regardless of exhaust note. Which will be a little loud.

Also ponder this> Your car, gold spokes, polished lips, gold Carrera graphics on the side..........and a duck tail......??
Just a thought. Saw one in England. Nice combo.

BTW I think it's great the way you are enjoying your car. And always sharing you photos and experiences with us is a treat!
I wish I had the time.

WydRyd, Nostatic Thanks for posting. You guys are great!

Very nice! How'd you mic it?

I think with my exhaust I'd have to add quite a few RSR goodies before I benefitted from RSR headers. But it would sound nice.

You won't believe it.

An old camcorder lying on the back seat with a external microphone pluged into it. [ Radio Shack] I then ran the mic through the opened side window and duct tapped the reciever to the license plate.

I then played the movie/recording on the TV and recorded the sound on my laptop.

I'll second that! He has more than one alias here. I wonder if Wayne has the tech. to look into this. What is even more freightning is he keeps baiting the hook and reeling em in. It is so simple to deceive here!!!!

Did you record that in a tunnel? There's lots of reverb.

Man, that's some speedy shiffting you are doing there. Must be the sweetest shifting porsche tranny ever.
