New to forum
I’m not sure if I’m posting in the right place but wanted to say hello and share my new ride. It’s actually not all that new as it’s a 73 911T Targa that’s been sitting in my dad’s barn in San Diego for about 10 years. I acquired it in 2014 but haven’t been able to bring it up with me to LA until recently.
I’ve previously owned an 82 911SC Euro but had to let it go when I moved to LA 15 years ago. I’m looking forward to learning from everyone and hopefully sharing some things along the way as well. Now on to the pics. John |

John... You already messed up on your first post...
WHERE ARE THE PICs OF YOUR TARGA !!!!!!!!?????????? Welcome to the forum. To my knowledge this is the largest, most active car forum in existence, with millions of posts. You have definitely found the right place. '73 is an excellent year.... !!! And so is an '82 SC, you messed up on letting that one go. I know because I had one and I miss it every day.

Great catch Juan. I didn't realize I had never posted before bc lord knows I spent a lot of time on here when I had my 82...
Sorry guys - epic fail on uploading pics. I spent far too long trying to get that right on my phone last night (files too big). And didn't work properly even after I compressed them. I'll try to sort that out tonight Thanks for all the welcome messages. John |

Very nice! Interesting color. Can't really tell if it's silver or some sort of Green (?)

Your 911 looks great, but we are still going to need more. We are going to need interior shots and an engine and trunk shot.

You’re right Rodney. I still owe you that. When I had it towed up to LA I had it dropped off at the shop where they’ve been working on it to get it running.
They succeeded recently but are still going through the car to ensure it’ll be safe (brakes etc). I haven’t done much work on cars in the past but I’m pretty good with home repair/remodel so once they have it “safe” I plan on doing some of the more simple work and cosmetic stuff. Will of course share more pics as soon as I can hardly contain my excitement. |
