Square Weave carpet - price vs. quality?

I think I've decided that the German Square Weave (Charcoal or black) looking for some feedback on the best brand/supplier. There seems to be quite a variation in the pricing from different suppliers, wondering if there is a quality difference to go along with the pricing. This will be going into a '69 Targa build.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Bill

My friend recommended Relicate as he was very happy with quality, price and service. I received samples of a square weave which I was happy with. I'll be ordering from them when the time comes.

Looks like Relicate is a wholesale supplier of the raw material, can't find where they have specific carpet kits for Porsche models listed if they indeed sell them?

You are correct, Relicate sells the raw material for your carpet or leather application. I recently bought a bunch of samples and decided to go with the German square weave. I have some local upholstery shops that I will have bid on my project.....soon, very soon.

I was reasonably sure that the upholstery shop that did my carpet got the kit from Relicate, but he ordered it, not me. He also ordered it un-trimmed and trimmed it out himself keeping the trim narrow and no stitches showing.

The square weave is soooooo much nicer looking than anything else.

By the way, there are two colors called black. The color they call Black is a very dark grey with a light grey fleck. The other black is called True Black and is 100% black. If that’s what you want, that’s fine, but the True Black doesn’t show the square weave, making it look two dimensional.

I had Autos International make my square weave carpet. After 10k miles I'm still quite happy with it.

They have large rolls of material and templates for the different models. Pick your color and binding material and in just a day they have a kit ready to install.

Got mine from Autobahn Interiors all cut and edge bound....ready to glue in.
Great quality but pricey if I remember correctly.
