Considered either attempting the rebuild or taking to a local shop but figured with the OD of the bearing being 2-3mm smaller than the bore that it goes in the whole thing was screwed. Or minimum it would be a fairly involved (expensive) repair job.

The shaft has so much play in it I was surprised the fan wasn't hitting the housing around it.
