Battery monitor / tracker. Volts, Crank Volts & Charge Test. Bluetooth. A-mazing!

Here's a PSA for a new gadget that I just implemented. I can already say that this is a must have for all my cars...

Lead / acid version: https://antigravitybatteries.com/products/accessories/battery/chargers/bluetooth-tracker-lead-acid/

Here is the same thing, that Antigravity likely just rebrands, for a few bucks less:
https://www.amazon.com/QUICKLYNKS-Battery-Monitor-Bluetooth-Device/dp/B01MT4583U

I've gotta say, this thing is amazing and, although both of my 911s have voltmeters, the tracker does SO MUCH more! Check the links for a detailed description of all the functionality, but the below screenshots tell most of the story. I've got three more of these things en route for the lead / acid batteries in my '89 and M5 and the Lithium battery (different tracker part number) in my Lotus.

After a 2 minute installation, that would become the most technologically advanced aspect of my car by far.

I am adding it to my '86 M491 that has the AG Battery already. It looks like the complete info it provides is just what all of us need to monitor the electrical health of our Battery/charging systems. Love the battery and the weight savings. By the by, I have had 2 of the AG Batteries. To date they have both been great. The newest is a drop in replacement Group 48 H6 @ 11.6 lbs. No additional mounting needed. Has anyone checked out the Lite-Blox Life Po4 battery from a division of Bosch (Euro). It has 2 systems built in. One an Auto Kill switch (IKOS), and the other an anti vehicle theft (AVAT). Expensive stuff!

I haven't checked those others out yet, but I love the idea of an integrated battery cutoff switch.

I purchased my Group 48 Lithium during the Spring Sale a few weeks ago. It was "only" $475 more than the last Group 48 AGM I purchased. Not cheap, but worth it for 30 pound weight savings on my personal price / value / happiness matrix.

The auto/bluetooth Kill Switch was a feature of the AG ATX-30 Race battery. It was discontinued for some reason (manufacturer just stated DisCont.) Mine is good. It was a BT kill when you chose to do it. From my reading on the Lite-Blox, it is a wildly advanced system that allows a car to have all functionality except drive/start in AVAT. IKOS is a whole new animal. I wish some PP member would chime is with the functionality/reliability of these in Euro. Those Lite-Blox Batts are about $1500 US, and much physically smaller. They are mounted on a heavy gauge metal wire bottom framework that uses factory mount (supposedly) to original configuration. though... Bosch, who would of thought??

Seems like an onboard voltmeter will give you most of that info for a couple of fives. Here's one that takes the place of the cig. lighter. There are others that just insert in the socket.

You guys must have a lot of troubles with your charging systems and batteries.

I change the battery about every six years and that's as complicated s it gets for me.

Sounds like you're basing your opinion on a sample size of one. That may be too low. Cases in point...

DANGER! install volt meter now!!

Adding a Voltmeter

G-body 911 - High voltage, what’s happening?

Best place to wire up a voltmeter?

Jus'sayin'.
