Door stop question
Hello from Georgia
![]() a question for the experts/gurus out there... 1986 doors on a 1969 body. Doors are installed and now I notice that the 1986 door stops are quite different from the 69 ones. The body has a solid tab! Can the 1986 be used? (have 3) or do I need to locate part 901-531-035-20? Thanks in advance and stay safe! Jose |

Maybe use '69 units? The bolt spacing is narrower than the later ones, so elongating the door mount holes is necessary.

Try using a larger OD washer to support the mounting area in the door. That area is prone to cracking and worse.

Does anyone have a guide for which door stop is correct for which MY?
Specifically, I am looking for what the factory would have used in mid 1973. I know it is not the current yellow cad units sold. Thank you for your help |
