New Manufacture of Aluminum S Calipers

I saw these on ebay, and at CarPoint in Germany. Anyone have any experience with them wrt quality? They're not brand marked, so who knows who makes them. China?

Tried to buy a set through Sierra - backordered indefinitely they told me, so I ended up buying new SC calipers for an early hotrod.

Did you replace all or just the front? Did you upgrade the master?

Rears, I just rebuilt are factory early steel ones (M Calipers). Didn't upgrade the master, the front SC use the same pads/rotors as early S calipers. I sent out a set of early S calipers to get rebuilt/replated and after 2 tries they got stuck each time. I'm not sure what my issue was so I got tired and just ditched them. Went with a set of brand new SC front calipers.

They are made by Dansk/JP Groups. I have them on my "Project Heavy Metal":

Dimensionally and from a piston size standpoint they are the same as SC calipers, and conveniently use a standard SC/Carrera pad thickness rather than a much harder to find thicker "S" pad.

With these there is no need to upgrade the master cylinder since the piston sizes are the same as every 911 since 1969 (I think).

I was unable to find a source for the brake lines for these (74-77 911S with the "S" caliper, NLA from what I can tell) so had to make my own. Also, just like everything you buy these days, a purchase wouldn't be complete without some sort of annoyance..... I also bout new rear calipers at the same time and had to remove and re-clock the caliper pistons in all 4 calipers so they were properly oriented.

These show a 90mm hole spacing - were the original "S" calipers on the longhood cars 3" or 3-1/2" spacing?

3.5" on early S Al calipers.

Now, if there is a 3" version that would bolt on that would be nice. Even better if it took a Carrera 24mm rotor.
