Swamp gas clutch?
I have been driving manual trans cars for 40 years. On occasion I have accidentally, sometimes intentionally, slipped the clutch. Every other car I have driven has a very standard smell when the clutch is slipped, similar to brakes being overheated.
Not my 911, smells like swamp/sewer gas if I even slightly slip the cutch. Anyone else notice this?

Yea, my latest clutch disk is the same way. The first time I was stuck on a hill and had to start from a dead stop it required a little slippage. My wife instantly asked if I farted. Likely some material that is different than other materials in the past.

Thanks for the reply Glen, I'll take solace knowing I'm not the only one

If you can smell it...you're slipping it way too much.
