Master cylinder switch

Hi

After upgrading my master cylinder, I noticed the connection from the MC only have one prong and there 2 connections from the wire.. Did I put in a wrong switch? What is my option? I don't want to spend on new switch.

Thanks

Bob

That's the same as mine. One of those two wires is sufficient - trial and error or look for witness mark on the connector.

Ignore the crusty underside:

Thank you Karl,
so just connect one wire and ignore the other. Just to sure, what is the "witness mark" on the connector?

Witness mark- the connector/female plug that has scratches or an imprint of the male plug as evidence of it being attached previously.

got it, so I would look for a mark indicating used on a male terminal from the switch previously..
Hopefully only one will show the mark and not both...but there a chance that both will show the mark say ...if both were used previously on a 2 prongs switch. I just have to check and see.

Thanks again

What they said... There are 2 wire switches and single wire switches. You may have to trial and error it... 50/50 shot at getting it right first try.

Karl,

Just curious, what is the switch on the MC for? It's not for the back up light.. I don't think. Could it be an indicator light for one of the instrument gauge?
