Thumbs up New goodie, Dansk Pre-Silencer

Just wanted to show a pic of the new goodie...the long awaited Dansk Pre-Silencer (Euro-Premuffler). Straight through design, with baffles, ie.. maximum flowage, minimum noiseage.

Needless the say, the build quality is excellent, much better than some other products I've purchased and returned (from another known FAB-ricator). Highly recommend this product. Available from Pelican!

What sort of HP gains do you expect from that beautiful piece of kit? Looks like it could (visually) pass for a cat, no?

Very nice!
It might just look exaggerated in the picture, but are you going to use a pencil grinder to remove the slag on the inside of the pipe where your cross over pipe connects? Just to ensure maximum efficiency.
A very sweet looking piece, I'm sure you'll be satisfied.
Regards,
Gary

There's very little slag or weld hump at the inlet, the picture makes it look much worse, in fact it's mostly just discoloration from the weld, still very smooth with a little "normal" weld hump.

I'm thinking I should gain about 100 visual HP with this installed, not sure on the actual amount though.

Got mine too today too..and being the anal SOB that I am, I'm putting the grinder to work tomorrow. Some slag/bead and weld, but not bad...but but it'll take less than 10 mins witht he pnue-grinder. The fun never stops.

Thanks Dave and Clay

I don't mean to be a 'know it all' because I sure don't, but that welding sure looks messy in the picture (considering its application - a Porsche).

During my racer boy days if it ain't smooth, it ain't going in/on. I'm actually rather surprised to see that you would need to do any grinding. Like you say maybe its just the picture but then again Souk is grinding his as well).

Is this common on all brands? My local mechanic is recommending I go with B&B, I sure hope the quality on the inside is as good as the outside. Looks is one thing, function is another.

Got mine yesterday too - really nice and worth the wait! Mine also has a few rough spots that need attention but no big deal at all, especially after my experience with the "other" premuffler. Hope I have time this weekend to get it installed.

I think Dickster showed 12 HP on a dyno run.

Thanks for posting the pics, Clay!

All by itself..it should give you about 6-8 hp, if the Porsche OEM pre-muffler is any indication...
