Tensioner Upgrade

Can experts please chime in if my parts are correct for my 2.0 tensioner upgrade? I also have the tensioner rebuild kit but not shown. Thank you!

Hi,

Not an expert by any means, but I think the tensioner you want is a 930 type. (Chain tensioner 930.105.501.0R) those are 901 early types.

Those are original tensioners with small reservoir not the equivalent of 930’s. They look the same but the 930’s have upgraded internals and reinforced housing.

Targaboy,

Could you post pictures of the idler gears showing the top view? Maybe you meant the wider idler gears introduced in late SC motors? Thanks.

Thanks for your response Tony but do these part numbers help to answer your question regarding the idler arms? 901.105.545.03
Can someone please confirm if the tensioners I have are equivalent to the 930 tensioners as I was told by the original Seller? Cheers!

the 901. is the early ones. The one starting partnumber with 930, is the newer and upgraded version that is better.

Targaboy,

The top 2 idlers gears are for cylinders 1-2-3 (lower one is the wide/upgrade).

The bottom 2 idlers are for cylinders 4-5-6 (lower one is the wide/upgrade).
