Dallas Pelican meet - lotsopics
The Dallas Pelican addicts group met this morning at a fashionable North Dallas Starbucks. Eleven of us enjoyed the beautiful spring temps to meet and talk about our favorite pastime. And talk we did. There was a wide rage of cars to see, hear and smell, starting with Jack's outstanding 356 SC to Amac’s outrageous 993 turbo race car. It was great to see some of you again and meet others that I hadn't had the pleasure of before. Thanks to all who showed and to Ed Hughes for rallying the group
Porsche owners are a great bunch of people!!!!!! ![]() Anthony's ducktailed 964 (It fits fine Anthony) ![]() Amac's "slower" 911 ![]() ![]() Ed's Ruby Red Carrera (Ed, where has that cigar been) ![]() Jim's beautiful 993 Cab (It's pelicanparts.com) next |

Talk about frustrating...just dropped my car off at Stuarts to be fixed. FYI, thanks to whoever suggested Stuarts thanks a lot, it looks like a very nice shop. About 1/2 the cars in the lot when I showed up to drop my '88 off were Ferraris, along with some very nice Porsches.
There's nothing like driving an econobox rental car to drive home how awesome our cars are to drive. We need to do this more often. Later,

Interesting side story...while sitting there a girl walks up and explains she has a '67 911S that they paid $1,000 for from a divorce settlement. She got it in HER recent divorce settlement and is now getting some work done on it to get it in good shape. Her Dad (I think) was with her and she was very delighted to hear the car could really be worth some good money once it's fixed up. I guess he thought it was worthless. According to her there's no rust but it was repainted yellow at some point.

Sounds like you guys had a lot more fun than I did today ... making sawdust out of dead Arizona Ash limbs!!! Any chance for the repeat next weekend?

Warren,
Yes, a very good chance for next weekend. A couple of the guys couldn't come out to play today and that next would work for them. Are you in town then? |

Crap! I really wish I could have been there. Looks like some great cars and the usual band of suspects.
Let's do it again soon, but not this coming weekend--I'm out of town again! Cheers, Brad '83 SC Coupe |

![]() This car is beautiful! What an awesome color. I'm currently doing a restoration project and would dearly love to know what that color is called. I am on the look-out for nice dark reds.
