Odd cutouts on Fuchs lug hole seats (PIC)

Hi - I had the wheels off my '83SC, and noticed some weird cutouts at a couple of the lug holes. Does anyone else have these? Can't imagine they were for balancing...

Someone drilled out a locking lugnut most likely.

Thanks for the reply John!

You do realize that the integrity and safety of the wheel has been severely compromised by the fool that butchered that wheel!

this absolutely idiotic by somebody before you to remove broken lug nut.!!
As for a safety, you have most likely driven your 911 for a while like this.
i`d suggest if you are using wheel lock-nut put it on this spot..also i would not use steel lug nuts as is it a fashion lately..use only alu lug nuts

You will be fine ,you still have 4 other (did not see it) lug nut mounting without damage...i have seen worth...
