82 SC Fresh air blower fan help

My fresh air blower fan works but when I slide the lever completely to the right
(full speed) I need to back off the lever to get maximum flow.
Would there be a problem with the fan or the control lever or a cable adjustment?
Any help would be appreciate.

Joe

Spray a little electric contact cleaner in there and move the lever back and forth.

Its a matter of the contacts on the leaver not the cable.

There is a resistance coil in the box with the fan in the fruck. The fan speed lever moves a cable that slides the electrical contact across that coil which controls speed of fan I would give that a look, when you get it apart and look it will be self explanatory

The contact choice for fan speed is made at the cabin slider switch. (Clean the contacts)
3 wires plus power go to the airbox motor from the contacts in the slider.
Each wire runs to a different resistor in the airbox that controls the speed.
