Hello,
Have a 2007 911 TT with 84K, purchased vehicle last year. Just over a month now I have been hearing some type of static noise coming from dash area while driving sounds like some wires are connected wrong from radio/ CD?? Would assume that it has something to do with the OBC? Only hear it when driving, same sound sometimes long, sometimes short and it last until the engine is turned off. This is my first time owning a Porsche, so any ideas would be helpful, before I sell my sole to the Porsche Mechanics for advice? Thanks Don G. |

Don,
I know nothing about a 2007. I can tell you I had a "buzzing" sound when driving my 77. The group here suggested I check out the fuel pump. They were exactly right. Replaced and not another issue. Perhaps while idling, get out and check under the car to see if you can hear it. I'm sure the group here can point you in the right direction

If you haven't yet, you may want to consider posting your question on the 996/997/991 forum, which is more directly applicable to your model of 911.
This may be stating the obvious, but as a first-time Porsche owner you may not be aware of the designations for the various 911 vintages: "classic" 911, through 1989: referred to usually as just "911" and covered by this forum 1989-1993: 964 series 1994-1998: 993 series 1999-2005: 996 series (start of water-cooled engines) 2005-2012: 997 series 2012-2019: 991 series 2019-present: 992 series |

Could it be something to do with the navigation system?
