What are these wires/plugs for???
1987 Carrera targa, factory A/C. Found these two little puppies in the smugglers box. Don't appear to ever be plugged into anything but I'd still like to know what they do.

those are the power wires to the optional alarm horn.
mine were left dangling below the steering box.

So...they are there whether you had the optional alarm or not? I have them in my '88 and have never know WTH they were for. I did have a aftermarket alarm but carefully removed everything I could find several years ago due to everyone saying they cause more problems than they solve so I'm assuming my '88 never had a factory alarm. My '87 cab DID have a factory alarm and it included the weird key turn off in the side of the door. Very odd/poor design IMHO...just sayin'...
