Nice! Great accomplishment. I'm curious what kind of work has been done on the original platform? Engine/transmission rebuilds? How many clutches have you gone through?

Woohoo! I'd bet that you'll be super psyched when you roll over 300,000. Keep driving that thing.

Congratulations from Winter Park, Jerry! I have many less miles on my '83 SC, but they have been fun ones!
Who works on your 911? Not many around Orlando anymore with good knowledge of the older ones. Mine goes to Karl at German Car Service in Longwood. |

I do my own work. Most of its not bad. My 987 Boxster is harder to work on.

Welcome to the 200k club!
when i purchased my 911 the odo read 67k or so. It had a 160mph speedo (so replaced at some point) and about a week went by before I noticed it wasn't going up. It had the common broken gear issue. Luckily i knew the mileage wasn't correct before the purchase but i got a surprise when i pulled a carfax. It had 269,059 miles in 12/2000 when it failed an emissions test in California so who knew how many miles had been added in the 15 years since that and when i purchased it! mileage is just a number though. I love my car as if it was a brand new one so whether its 70k or the more likely 325k it doesn't really matter to me.
