1977 911S - Alternator Upgrade - Porsche Technical Bulletin Question

Hi Everyone.

I have fitted an Alternator upgrade to my 1977 911S and I have a question regarding the Porsche Bulletin that was included in the Instructions.

Can anyone clarify that I have interpretated this sentence correctly please? "Fasten multiple-pin plug of removed regulator on wire harness"

Here's the multiple pin plug that is from the regulator that I removed.

Here's my Engine wiring loom that was originally connected to the Regulator. Plug circled in red.

Have I read it correctly by connecting the multiple pin plug (from the removed regulator) to the engine loom, circled in red, as below? The plug circled in green will just be secured to the loom and not plugged in anywhere as there is nowhere for it to go now.

I would really appreciate some feedback before I turn the key. 🙂

Many thanks.

Jason.

My interpretation is to tuck it away so it's not flopping around

I recently removed that portion of my harness completely as I wasn't using any of the other components that tie into it. I have a heat backdate and running carbs. So no blower motor or WUR which are the other components that all connect. I was able to remove it and only snip the blue wire where it tied into the 14 pin connector to another wire that I needed to leave in the harness.

You can remove the noise suppression device that you circled in red and just tuck what remains away.
