STOLEN Mint Green 964 in Italy

A great friend just had his mint green 964, an NGT-tribute that he built himself, stolen in Brescia, Italy.

It is a pretty unique car so should be spotted easily.

If you have any info, please PM or email me at drola964@yahoo.com or contact Rikard directly on his Instagram @Rikard964

Rikard and this car are part of our family. Hoping the more exposure possible will help recover it.

PLEASE - if you or anyone you know in Europe sees or hears anything about this very unique car, PLEASE reach out !!!!

To your point, see these details about a Targa stolen as well. Details from a Facebook page. The FB poster seems to imply this was DURING the Mile Miglia! WTF?!? mad:

"STOLEN IN ITALY!
Hard to believe, but it happened- they stole our 911 directly in the center of Brescia during the mille miglia event - and it was car number three at that day, all of them Porsche 911s.
So please look out, let’s not make it too easy for them to take away the things we worked hard for."

Yes, 3 air cooled Porsches all stolen around the same time from the same block. Unfortunately i don't have info on the other two. Minty belongs to a good friend so i'm more informed on that one. Hopefully they all turn up safe and sound

They will never be seen again. This wasn’t an amateur heist, condolences to those who lost.

actually you do not need to break the rod on the steering lock All the thief will use is a slide hammer and pulls out the tumbler. For that case i`m manufacturing the 911-Lockshield..with this device it is impossible....

I'm guessing they have been winched into the back of a large covered auto transporter. then will be stripped down for parts. And being during Mile Miglia a transporter wouldn't look out of place. I'm sure someone saw something. that Minty is hard to not notice.

Bill..true..but honestly how many of us go out and leave the keys in their 911 at these meeting- or leave the 911 out of sight.....as i was told was happening there at the Miglia and i`m positive there must be some kind of video surveillance....

Sounds like a well planned heist. Sorry to hear this terrible news.

I don't know about you guys, but there's a GPS tracker on my cars, along with other measures to help thwart theft.

Since the thieves seem to be watching constantly, I'd fabricate an inconspicuous looking fuse holder that powers up the engine, either cutting off ignition or computer when the fuse is removed. Probably something incorporated into a dash trim seam or something that's not easily seen, along with being close to the ignition lock cylinder so that it's quickly and easily removed and reinstalled. If it's too difficult to access, us humans wouldn't always disable it, negating the anti-theft benefit. Another product that I've seen used is a Mico-Lock brake lock, which hydraulically locks up the brakes until the lock is deactivated, either electrically or mechanically, depending on which model you have. Those can easily be hidden and remotely activated.

Why steel a mint green 911? That thing can be ID’ed from half a mile away. My guess they were in containers that night and on a ship bound for ME or Asia the next morning. Really frustrating situation.

I won’t be driving my 911 to the Mille Miglia!

Might make a good movie. But only if they catch the thieves.

Porsche 911 locks are child's play. If you knew how easy it is to pick the locks you would be leaving your car in the garage. Especially with a lichi pick, even a beginner could open your car.
I would get a tracker, and don’t leave your car anywhere unattended for too long.

This is totally true, I was notorious for locking my keys in my car and my friend who was a mechanic by the end could pick my lock and be in my car in less than 15 seconds.

15 seconds? Rookie move. When our car cleaners/detailers would lock keys in cars it was nearly always faster to use the "keys" (rocker picks) in the lock pick set than using a slim jim or any other method.

Literally, as fast as you could walk up to the car and put the tool in, the door was unlocked.

Sorry, but that is beyond stupid, I don't care where you are.
