Thanks Everyone

Hi gang,

I`ve finally found the right car and made the deal. I pick her up on Saturday and really can`t wait.

I just thought i`d say a *massive* thank you to everyone who has helped me with my 10001 questions over the last couple of months.

If it hadn`t been for the discovery of this forum (cheers Phil) i`d probably have went about getting a 911 in totally the wrong way.

With the advice and experiece i gained in only 2 short months of reading this forum, i felt confident enough to look at this car and choose it.

So THANKS everyone!

Here are some more pics and details for your opinions. They are intentionally huge in size for max detail.

Picture 1.
Picture 2.
Picture 3.
Picture 4.
Picture 5.

56,000 miles
Full documented and service book stamped maintenance history
2 Owners
A4 Folder full of receipts in dated order.
Full new Power Hood last September.
12 months M.O.T.
Bodywork looks like its done 5 miles

She`s a cracker guys and i`m so grateful for everyone`s advice and a special mention to Dickster and Andy for all their help and advice.

Cheers

McRod

Not sure Bob, it just said "Silver" on the log book. Its a sort of dark silver however, compared to the Volvo Estate car also in one of the pictures.

rod,

thats excellent news!

it looks like a lovely car. and what better way to get acquainted with it than drive it from london to scotland

its typical, i'm gonna be over that way again this weekend at some point, but we're preparing to go to spain so gonna be busy, otherwise i wouyld have suggested you pop by on the way past.......i'd only drool over your car anyway

i have friends in scotland so you never know.......

btw - i thought it was gun metal grey in the other pics.

and last but not least - rangers still top??? i have a scottish friend living in australia and i love winding him up over the celtic/rangers thing.

No

Celtic are on top of the league now. We are equal on points but as they have scored 1 more goal, they take 1st on the table.

3 games left. We`ll see what happens

Next time youre up in Scotland, gimmie a shout. I`d be happy to drape a napkin over the car while you drool on it

And yer, 400 mile drive to get aquainted to it, I`ll probably hate it by the time i hit Carlisle/Cumbria.

Cheers

McRod

If you're sick by the time you get to Carlisle call in - I'm just off junction 43. If you're travelling up on Sunday the Region 18 concours is at Garstang (near Preston) if you fancy a detour.

Get in touch if you want any details of my location or the concours

(Nice car by the way)

Thanks for the offer Roy but we plan on driving home from London soon after we pick the car up at around 6.30pm so it would probably be a little late by the time we reached Cumbria and i`ll be doing 20 mph all the way to avoid flys splatting on my car.

Would liked to have seen that concours show also. Rangers playing at home on Sunday though and at the moment they need all the support they can get heh.
