Source for quality electrical connectors
I’m looking for a source for high quality electrical connectors that crimp like the one in the picture below.
I’d like to get an assortment of 6.3 male and female as well as ring and male and female bullet connectors and boots. I’ve found kits on amazon and the like, but they just seem too inexpensive to be high quality. Anybody have a source? ![]() |

3.9 bullet teminals good?
Dennis--
I see there are various kits available ( Motorcycle Terminal and Connector Kits ). I assume one of the bullet terminal sizes are more useful than otehrs--which connectors are best? Kits with 3.9mm , 4.3mm, or 6.3mm ? |

Not just the connectors, you need to spend proper money on the crimp tool and make sure the jaw sizes are correct for the crimp. There are usually three crimp sizes for different wire gauges. A decent faston tool starts at $100. Everything else is junk and will lead to frustration.
You should be able to do a 1000 NM pull test on a faston without it coming off. That’s the equivalent of hanging 100kg/220lbs on the wire!

Hello: Here’s a company you should check out their website they deal in metric automotive specialty supplies. They have the male and female Uninsulated connectors in different types and sizes and they are of good quality. Here’s their website. Belmetric.com also you’re going to need an open barrel crimping tool to make the proper crimp on the connectors you can look on eBay and Amazon for the open barrel crimping tools you can spend anywhere from $100 down to $15 for crimping tools. Hope this helps.

Did anyone end up purchasing a kit from Cycle World? If so, which one?
I'm looking to shore up my non-insulated terminal collection. I also want a quality crimping tool to do the job correctly. Any suggestions? If so, please post model number. I'm also looking for an assortment of heat shrink tubing sizes, but not the box o' four inch pieces, but rather longer lengths. Bonus points if I can get the factory style PVC sheathing from the same place. My immediate need is repurposing my now unused (foglight delete) right side fog light circuit to run the oil cooler fan via the foglight dash switch in my '87. The right side fog light harness ends about eight inches from the oil cooler fan wiring connectors in the frunk. I intend to build a ~10" factory looking harness to connect the two... ![]() ![]() I've got this connector en route from fleaBay for a factory style connection to the oil cooler fan harness... ![]()

Original were likely TE/AMP and those can be had very affordably from either Digikey or Mouser. It takes a minute with each respective parts catalog but if you look at the Faston 250 series you'll find everything you need.
Note that you posted a picture of a Fastin-Faston series with locking lance, only certain connections need these.

The Kuject Solder Seal Wire Connectors has always been an excellent marine-grade product. It has a solder ring that provides a reliable connection once melted. Simultaneously, the hot melt adhesive will give a waterproof finish and is the reason for its marine-grade rating.
