Porsche photos from REVS Institute
I was vacationing with my family in Naples and decided to visit the REVS Institute since I read that they had some cool Porsches on display.
I was completely blown away but what they had. It was not like a typical museum, since each car had an illustrious race history, with photos and background stories. Another cool thing is that every car is road worthy, and the docent said that each car is taken out on the road at least once a year. Enjoy the pics, and if you're in the area, its worth the 17 bucks ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The docents were very friendly and helpful, even the one that admitted it was his first day :-)

They usually show up at the Lime Rock Vintage Festival every year with at least a couple spectacular cars. Cars are completely accessible when in the paddock, and the staff love to talk about them.

Mrs. Doug and I are only 30 minutes from this place. Not sure why it took 6 years to go.

Porsche hand pounded small aluminum sheets on the wooden model and welded them together.
If you look closely, you can see the weld seam. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

This museum is the private collection of Collier. His mother bought him his first car 356 blue Porsche for his high school graduation. He ordered the car badge delete, and the closest blue he could find that matched the Yale colors, his chosen college. Since he was driving north to go to school he also added the gas heater.
