Fuchs finish options

I just bought yet another set of Fuchs for the Duck - this time 16x9's for the rear. They are currently the factory finish with painted spokes. The default finish (for me) is to go polished with painted background:

I'm considering a little different finish for the new ones. I recently saw a Carrera clone with 15x7and 8's that were anodized with black background.

The wheels, I thought were beautiful and I'm starting to like this more subtle look. A little less bling. Has anyone else done this early factory finish on 16x9 and 7's? Can any experienced plater do the anodizing?

Here is another picture from a 74 IROC car. I like the the look also but still like the shine from polished ones. I thought you already had 9" on the back. Or did hanging on this BBS brainwash into thinking you had to have them? (It did me!)http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...ctures 236.jpg

I have 8's now. There is something about these cars that say "feeeed meee". Guess I'm listening too close. Plus, don't we all need two sets of Fuchs?:D

I think on a street car a little bling bling looks good, keep 'em nice and polished.

I think the polished Fuchs look great, particularly on your car. Somehow I dont the dull anodized finish won't work as well with that great red car.

A red 911 is not a subtle car. Call it bling if you want, but that car looks perfect with polished wheels. Why mess with a great look?

so Mark, you got lucky and found some 16x9's ...hard to find. What seems to be the going rate for them? I am thinking about 16 x7&9 on my blue car but have also considered about everything from FISKE FM10 or HRE fuchs centered 3 piece wheels 17 x 7.5 & 10 if they fit to fuchs 15x7& 8 ...much cheaper option than anything else.

I like the anodized plain-ish finish personally but the polished looks good toohttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploads/smallmexblue.jpg

Mark,
I am in the process of polishing my former black fuchs right now.
My car is red also and I think polished is the way to go. It looks great on yours:D

Right now I have the stock 6" and 7" wheels but I really want to go to the combo you have. Just don't have the extra funds to spend on them right now

I saw some silver anniversary editions with silver painted centers that looked great. Not as bling as the polished (which most non p folks think are chromed) but gives it a nice modern look.

Wanna sell me your 8s?

I prefer anodised rims. They are more subdued, and easier to maintain.
