That last one is awesome, the paintjob looks similar to an old 917 langheck I've seen in pictures. Very cool, thanks for sharing Bill.

Yea that 3.6? in that white car is a clean install, I love the way the fans look like propellors from a modern nuclear sub.

Awesome pics, the purple and green looks like a tribute to what they call the psychadelic/hippy 917. I think actually it wasn't a langheck (long tail) but was a kurzheck (sp) (short tail)

Oops, actually I was looking at a site of photos (see the "cool site" thread) and see that there appears to have been a K and LH version of the hippy paint, so we are both right.

Great photos, and the psychedelic early 911 does bear some amazing resemblance(s) to Jack's car. Looks fast!

The white 3.6 transplant is another of Rick Deman's masterpieces. Here is Rick's personal ride in which he put on a clinic in GT1R for the win

And here's another of the "hippy 917" that I took at Rennsport Reunion

Well maybe the hippie 917 was both K and L. #3 at LeMans in 1970 was a Longheck for shure, entered by Martini and driven by Gérard Larrousse and Willi kauhsen. See the story
