Distributor Rebuild Question

I'm currently rebuilding my distributor ('86 930), and ran into a problem with removing the vacuum canister arm. The arm had rusted off on the canister side, so no problem removing the canister, but the distributor side of the arm had to be bent to remove the mag pulse generator. The arm cannot be pushed down from the pin for removal as suggested on some of the distributor rebuild threads. Does anyone have a picture of the back of the pulse generator to compare? Something is just not right -

Also, I see that Rauch & Spiegel offers a replacement vacuum advance canister. Anyone have any experience with these?

I posted a response to your question but it came up as a new post titled Frozen advance plate, maybe due to posting from my phone ?
