Smile Holy crap! Holy Crap! Holy Crap, it's FAST!!!!

Car is back. '83 911 SC Targa. 1997 993 Varioram.

Man, I really need to learn to drive now.

Step on the gas and the front end lifts and you get slammed back into your seat HOLY CRAP! What have I done?

One thing's for sure. It ain't your mommas 911.

If anyone is considering the switch, be sure to budget for speeding tickets. I'm NOT kidding.

damn damn damn damn ..... sounds nice! I'd be interested in knowing the 0-60 time difference of a 3.0/3.2 to 3.6 conversion.

My project was continually derailed by an unscrupulous but gifted mechanic who has never met a deadline in his life and has a world-record appetite for cash.

A bazillion delays and a similar number of dollars later, I'm on the road.

Please don't ask who my wrench is. "If you can't say anything nice..."

And we appreciate that. Thanks, Moses. The BBS needs more positive energy.

So what was *mechanically* wrong? Just out of adjustment?

"Lost" $9,500 engine that miraculously showed up in Steve Timmins garage via Harald Julicher 3 months later. (Thanks to Steve Timmins and Harald Julicher who both acted fast to help get the project back on track.) It's a LONG story...

DME ($1000) was fried when connected to a faulty (but repaired?) harness. Timmins absorbed 1/2 the cost of the new one although I didn't expect him to.

It's all behind me. Now I'm killin' bugs at an incredible pace!

Welcome aboard!

My best 0-60 so far is 4.3s, but I was cheating with a slightly downhill launch.

I have no idea if I can come close to that. I'm older than you more acutely aware of my mortality (and that of my clutch.) I also have no pictures of topless girlfriends in my car which means that regardless of how fast my car is, you are still the king.

Hey Chuck! I did the Elephant Widemouth Cooler thing, and my engine runs as cool as the other side of the pillow. But still, no topless girls in my car! What's up with that?

I gotta find out what Thom is chillin' his motor with.
