PMB Calipers - Whoa!

Background as always: Petra- 1986 Coupe 3.2, now at 153K miles

Finally got around to the rear caliper replacement. Solely needed, as the original LR caliper had a bad seal (caused insane squeaking) and RR was damn close. Decided it was best to do a full replacement including rotors, pads, and brake dust shields (Dansk) plus sensors and hardware.

I ordered the PMB Calipers from our host- Wow. These are not calipers, they are actual jewelry.

(FYI- The core return policy from our host is very straightforward & easy)

Also gave me a chance to clean the wheel wells (solely needed). Attempted to perform a full brake flush. The keyword is ATTEMPTED.
Note: No matter how glowing the reviews on Amazon, an $18 brake vacuum pump is still an $18 pump. Ugh.

Took her to my local shop, where a correct flush was performed and the massive amount of air still in the system was thankfully removed.

Yep I had the same reaction when getting mine.

As far as bleeding the system, I had no issues. I didn’t use anything fancy. I just use a bottle with a tube that I make sure is above the bleeder. Then just pump away with my foot. I even have a power bleeder, but the manual method works great for me.
