My stolen Porsche

My beloved Porsche of 20 years was stolen recently, in Saint Petersburg Florida. I was just getting ready to put her back on the road after several years of hiatus. I know the chances of retrieving it are slim to none, but you never know if by some coincidence, one can trace her or the perpetrators. If it's being parted out, I hope there is a way to trace the offenders by some miracle. You never know.

I have strong suspicion on the offenders, but the cost of the legal process and proving it are a disaster, but I'm open to Lawyer suggestions in Florida. She was stolen from Saint Petersburg, but I believe she's in the Miami area now.

It's a '79 SC with a 993 TT S body kit and GT2 Wing. Damage on driver front wheel, but otherwise same as the picture. Front bumper cover was removed at the time of the theft
  • VIN 9119300441
  • Yellow/Black Adjustable Momo seats
  • Shroth Harness, Yellow
  • Yellow/black Momo steering wheel, Shift knob, etc
  • Original exterior, under the body kit and under the carpet and in the frunk and engine bay is green
  • Original interior is Tan leather (rear seat area)
Please tell me where else I should post.

Thank you in advance

That's a very distinct \ unique car, hopefully it can be recovered whole.

I'll keep an eye out here in Houston.

Sorry this happened, hopefully insurance will have your back.

And as I stated in my first response I have no idea if the OP car and the ad on Facebook are related or just a coincidence, sounds like you have already found him guilty.

Wasn't trying to upset you in anyway. I truly believe your just trying to help OP. Sorry if you took it wrong. It wasn't my intention. Hopefully his car will be recovered threw any help we can give.

Just an added FYI - - a friend found his stolen car by looking at adds on Craigslist and a photo posted of some of the parts . . . thief was caught and prosecuted (dumb ass multi offender car thief) 964 was recovered, insurance paid my friend and he bought the car back for pennies - now restored to good condition daily driver . . . but my friend put a lot of time into the search and recovery of the 964 . . .

Wish you the best

There are still tan interior parts, as I've mentioned in the first post. Black and yellow are the Momo parts

FWIW, when my racing bicycle was stolen I setup a bunch of google keyword searches... yes, every day I got a listing of every post on the internet that contained those keywords and it was tiring sorting through them but I made it part of my morning routine and 18 months later I found the bike on eBay.

I setup a local meet with the police around the corner and the their was arrested and my bike returned.

You might want to setup a few automatic searches for certain keywords... That way you won't have to actively comb the internet.

Best of luck!!

Does someone make a device to hide in the vehicle that you can link to your phone to find where it is? Just like you can do a find my phone app? Thieves should have to be neutered so they cannot produce the next generation of thieves. Good luck retrieving your car. Your story makes me sick.

Thank for that. I had my racing bike stolen too, and I looked tirelessly online for it until I gave up. But didn't set up automatic keywords. You're much smarter and glad it paid off for you.

Would love to compile a listing of sites to setup those searches, if anyone has ideas.
Thanks again
