what bracket is this?

I shut the passenger door on my '88 Carrera and this part dropped to the floor. I don't know what it is...any ideas? I think MAYBE it's an old bracket from the ac hoses that I replaced that run along the right/passenger side of the car but I'm not sure. It's only partial

Look inside the door latch that mounts to the chassis. You'll find a chunk missing either on the top or bottom piece. PP sells replacements.

Look familiar?

Yep! But now I'm gonna show him how to replace them for the tie breaker.
Are the plastic pieces in the door striker plate replaceable

I did this 7 years ago and sadly have to do it again. But 7 years ago I used some pieces I had laying around. This time they'll be new!

Ok ordered 2 new from Pelican since I assume driver side door will need it as well. However, I thought I might have messed up since I removed the metal bracket (not sure of name) that this new nylon part goes into. After I got it out I realized it bolts into a loose plate inside the door jam. I had not marked it's exact position which I thought may have been a problem. I was able to find a clean/dirty line so put it back as close as I could and door seems to be working fine, although it does seem to be VERY slightly proud of the body skin so maybe needs to be adjusted a tiny bit. Other problem is how do I get the new part installed? It looks like the metal part is riveted together...am I missing something? I can't find a post describing how to install the new parts.
