911 G Body AC
Need AC in my 77 911S. I have purchased all parts but I am having a problem activation the compressor clutch.
I want to use the original controls to operate the blower but want the same lever to power the thermostat switch. If the thermostat is hard wired to key the clutch would be continuously engaged unless I turn the temp up every time I shut off the blower motor. I prefer to wire 12 volts through the blower control that will turn on and off the power feed to the thermostat switch when I turn on and off the blower. I tested the original plug and I get power on one prong only no matter if the blower is off or in any speed. It never moves from prong to prong. I recently thought that perhaps the power changes from prong to prong when plugged in... I will look at that this weekend. In the meantime I wanted to ask those of you who have had a similar issue and who, God willing, have come up with a solution that I can live with. I appreciate your help. |
