School me on…Fuchs specs!

Looking to replace my 16x6” and 16x7” setup with 7&8s. I see there is an offset or similar measurement which I have to pay attention to for the 8” Fuchs I acquire - the what is this measurement, and what is correct for an ‘83SC? 10.6mm, 36, 15, and 23.3 are the options I see.

Thanks Pelicans!

instead of base combination 6/7x16 you can use for a 83 SC as follows:

Front
7x16 et 23
8x16 et 23 (from 944 Turbo, part number starts with 951..)

tire regular 205/55 (205/50 possible)

Rear
8x16 et 10,6 (11) - tire 225/50
9x16 et 15 - tire 245/45

And here some weights of the relounched production, see flyer
file:///C:/Users/B024493/Downloads/Jan-2021_Evolution_Fuchsfelge_15-16Zoll_DIN_Lang_4S.pdf

the new 9x16 is lighter by ~1kg compared to the old 9x16, wow!

for the front of an SC or Carrera, staying w/ Fuchs only
7ET23.3 either 15 or 16, tires 205/55 or 205/50, 15 will be `1' shorter and will be more efficient

for the back
8ET10.6 either 15 or 16, tires 225/50 or 225/45, again 15s will be ~1" shorter and will be more efficient, similarly 225/45 is shorter and more efficient than 225/50

alternate for the back 9x16 ET15 w/ 245/45 x16, this is in between 225/50 & 225/45 x16 in height and efficiency

15s upside is efficiency and ability to get the CoM as low as possible and generally better grip, down sides are possible ground clearance issues and possible visual issues all depending on ride height

16s upside is generally better tire availability, down side is lower efficiency

7 & 8 x16 205/50 & 225/45 is a sweet side balancing all the +/-

FWIW, your existing 16x7 Fuchs rears are the proper wheels to move up front (you may need to roll your inner front fender lips to eliminate rubbing), you'd then want the 16x8 rear Fuchs with a part number that starts with 911 (for the proper offset for the rear of your SC) and not 951.
