What would cause a moaning sound when i steer right?

This just started a little while ago, and the car had been sitting a few weeks due to trips and other reasons.

Car runs and drives fine. I don't think it sounds like a wheel bearing. But when I am driving straight or turning left, no issue, and when I turn to the right there is a moaning sound. I can try to attach a sound file or a video with sound, but thought you might have suggestions. Seems to happen and both low and high speed when turning. When I straighten the wheel it stops.

is that noise coming from front or rear? If front look at the left wheel well if by any chance the tire is hitting a hose up there...
the sound recording would help a lot

Trying to attach sound files - in both of these examples you can hear the sound within the first 5 seconds. Seems to be coming from the front, and is most noticeable when turning right at fairly low speed

FWIW, I just had something similar happen to me. Even though I thought the sound was coming from the front, it was the left rear wheel bearing which was bad.

This is my first guess as well.

Get the car up in the air. Inspect the front wheel wells, passenger side first, for any evidence of something rubbing. Turn the fully all the way to either side, and check if something it hitting.

If steering right was a progressive in the car?

I'd stick with the wheel bearings but if they are moaning it should be easy to feel with the car jacked up.

Are you sure your not hitting your washer fluid reservoir, or loose hose?

Another symptom to throw in is that I am now getting more shudder and vibration in the steering wheel even when driving straight at normal speed. And its totally inconsistent, sort of comes and goes. Is that more evidence pointing to the wheel bearings?

Jack one side of the car up in the air and check the front and rear bearings on that side. You can do that by rotating the wheels and checking for axial play (grab the top and bottom of the tire and push and pull). Then jack up the other side and do the same.....

How about a sticky caliper with pad rubbing?

Failing CVs can also exhibit this "sidedness" when turning, same as failing rear wheel bearings. Last time I tackled this it was the final of these six possibilities! Aaargh, all the rest were fine. I've never been confident I could feel a failed rear wheel bearing, and when pulled apart they were mainly pitted in the races, not really loose. With CVs in my VW bus I just kept driving until the noise got really irritating - it wasn't like it would suddenly leave me stranded.

But lots of other good suggestions on things to check. Tire rubbing in the front, though, if on an inner fender panel, comes at or close to full lock, which doesn't seem to be how you describe it.
